Office 365 App For Android Released

31 July 2013 by Karl Rivers Leave a Comment

Office 365 for Android is a bit like a guest that you don’t recognise turning up at your dinner party and helping himself to your food.

As with the recently released iPhone app, Office 365 for Android is a sparse affair missing many of the features available in the main product. If you are already embedded in the Office 365 ecosystem, the new app will be a welcome addition to your office suite, if not there are better and cheaper options available.

While the app is free to download you’ll need an Office 365 subscription to sign in.

Microsoft says, “The release of this app shows that we’re committed to keep providing additional value for Office 365 subscribers.”

Office 365 for Android is available to download now in the US now, and in other countries shortly. It will run on phones with Android 4.0 or greater but is not currently compatible with tablets.
