Google has announced that Google Apps storage for Drive, Gmail, and Google+ Photos will be unified to give a total of 30GB of storage across all services.
Previously Google Apps users were limited to 25GB for Gmail and 5GB for Drive before further storage had to be purchased. The new system combines that storage allowing a total of 30GB of data across both services.
While this isn’t a huge change it does provide greater storage flexibility when using Google’s services, particularly for heavy Google Drive users. A new Google Apps page allows you to easily monitor your storage usage.
The changes are set to be rolled out over the coming weeks. Those who have Google Apps services set to “Rapid Release” will receive the changes immediately.
