Circuit Scribe gets rid of wires and breadboards in an attempt to make electronics more accessible in the classroom.
Circuit Scribe is a roller ball pen which contains conductive, water-based ink that lets you draw working circuits on an ordinary piece of paper. With Circuit Scribe students can draw circuit diagrams on paper, add a battery, some custom components and get a logic switch working right in their textbook. Components available include LEDs, connectors for resistors and capacitors, battery connectors, and even jumper stickers.
In order for the pen to work very easily for the end-user, we have spent a considerable amount of time designing and optimizing the ink to work reliably in the rollerball pen. As we work with a manufacturer to take Circuit Scribe from prototype to product, we will need to ensure that the functionality and reliability of the pen are never compromised.
You can support Circuit Scribe on Kickstarter now and get your own roller pen for only $20 or an entire classroom kit.
